Three Nanjing Slim Cigarette Models: Packaging and Design Differences
Nanjing has several slim cigarette models with similar shapes but different packaging styles. For readers comparing classic Xuanhemen, Xuanhemen Xuancai and Mengdu Slims New Edition, the most noticeable differences are the colour combinations, decorative artwork and surface finishes.
Classic Nanjing Xuanhemen
Classic Xuanhemen is described with a light-blue or blue-green background, gold edging and a raised dragon motif. The combination of a softer background and metallic-looking details gives the pack a recognisable appearance.
Identifying details
- Main colour: Light blue or blue-green
- Secondary colour: Gold
- Artwork: Raised dragon motif with gold outlines
- Format: Slim cigarettes
Some consumers describe a sweet impression from the filter. Such descriptions are subjective and should not be interpreted as guaranteed product characteristics.
Nanjing Xuanhemen Xuancai
Xuancai keeps blue as the dominant colour but adds red details and an iridescent, wave-like effect. The reflective finish may appear to change under different lighting conditions.
The name “Xuancai” can be understood as “vivid colours” or “brilliant colours,” reflecting the colourful appearance of this edition.
Identifying details
- Main colour: Blue
- Secondary colour: Red
- Artwork: Iridescent wave-like decoration
- Format: Slim cigarettes in a hard pack
Some consumer descriptions also mention perceived filter sweetness, but taste impressions vary.
Nanjing Mengdu Slims New Edition
Mengdu Slims New Edition uses a different palette, described as apple green with red decorative elements. The supplied packaging description features a dragon-head and phoenix-tail design, with holographic foil that produces shifting reflections as the viewing angle changes.
The product listing specifies a 97 mm slim cigarette, 20 cigarettes per pack and 10 packs per carton.
Identifying details

- Secondary colour: Red
- Artwork: Dragon head and phoenix tail

Filter Descriptions and Product Information
Consumer impressions sometimes refer to differences in perceived filter sweetness. These reports are subjective and are not independently verified technical specifications. Packaging differences do not establish differences in tobacco composition, nicotine delivery or health risks.
